Who are we?

Steps Ahead is a government registered non-political, non-profit social organization. We engage with several development projects in the coastal belt of Bangladesh, the most climate victim area of the country and at the same time one of the most climate victim areas of the world.

Our primary concerns are to assist coastal women in reducing their menstrual health complexities and increasing their participation in income-generating activities. To do so, we are stepping towards several development projects focusing on the concerned communities and finding out context-specific sustainable solutions. Moreover, we also give scholarships to economically challenged and deserving students of coastal areas to reduce drop-out and make their academic journey smooth.

Our Vision

We are bringing sustainable economic and social equality with healthy life for our marginal women and youths of the coastal belt of Bangladesh.

Our Mission:

• Raising awareness among coastal women on the impacts of salinity and their gynecological health care.

• Raising awareness on safe and healthy menstrual hygiene management activities and distributing free hygiene kits among coastal women and adolescent girls.

• Producing reusable sanitary napkins and distributing them to coastal marginalized women and girls for free of cost.

• Building human capital through technical skill development training.

• Creating employment opportunities for unemployed coastal women through social entrepreneurship by utilizing the local resources

• Providing financial aid to the economically disadvantaged students of the coastal districts.
